2nd project speech - oasis achievers toastmaster

Take an ordinary idea of BALANCE. In a man’s mind, it denotes stability, harmony, equality or proportion. There are lots of dilemma & crossroads influencing your life & toughest to it is your own way to balance everything.

I have come up with a manifesto, allow me to uncover.

  1. Work like a mogul but be reasonable...
  2. See the world, work hard, play hard yet come with a mind set & always think about a clearer end line...
  3. Be loyal to yourself, to your family & and to your friends...
  4. Be healthy & well, come up with an exceptional adventure & experience something new...
  5. Have a healthy social lifestyle, go out & enjoy life, visit different places & explore the beauty of nature, observe different cultures, join professional organizations & enhance your knowledge...
Let your principle and sincerity guide you in achieving the desired balance in you life. The center may not be on your feet but realizing or refreshing your plans, will take experience. It may be a slow process but the reward is significant.

Consider the problems that may come along your way as challenges that will help you learn, carry you into new horizons & bring an extraordinary life in balance.

a night to quiver - trial by ice

Last October 22, 2006, I had evaluated a young fellow toastmaster (on the Left). That night was really quivering, I really didn’t expect to evaluate such talented person but it’s really a pleasure as have learned new things. In my present work, I often find myself lacking time to prepare & practice."
Let me share to you some things I called “trial by ice” on the 1st project speech as an evaluator.

1. Personal style - indeed you have presented a speech that generates smooth talk & for my opinion, you will be able to develop more of your style when it comes from the heart

2. Affirmative talk – I enjoyed your speech, you have a nice voice, very clear & warmth. It’s positive to know you when you shared your school org, being adventurous & cool personality (that was cool!)

3. Natural – seemed you didn’t prepared much but that speech brought my attention that even you didn’t prepared or called up in front to speak on your feet, you can deliver well & I can feel that you are one great speaker & has the advantage. You’re on the competence, naturally! Smart & fantastic!

4. Skill – I witnessed a great speaker last night & it was you who shared a warmth speech of knowing. The skills you have are eye contact, gestures, clear voice & competitive delivery. "

That evening won't be the last one I guess & will be very glad to see a person grow & improve more & can’t wait to see someone like you speak again. For sure, it will be one more interesting night of toastmastery.
(P.S. from the right is an outstanding mentor, evaluator & speaker & on the middle is another great pillar of the oasis achievers club)

oasis achievers - ice breaker

The icebreaker speech!!!

Do you know your purpose in life? Do you believe in fate or destiny? Does anybody know the reason for his/her existence? If you heard the revival song of Alicia Keys, “some people live for the fortune, some people live just for the fame, some people live for the power and some people live just to play the game…

As time passes by, we become better & better but do you now the things we are striving for? (These are the topics I had uncovered in few minutes of the icebreaker).

1. strange discoveries
2. academic
3. achievements
4. extra curricular activities like sports & leisure
5. work experiences
6. life threatening incidents

My PURPOSE IN LIFE IS A CONTINUOUS SEARCH THAT GIVES MEANING & BALANCE. Those SELF-DISCOVERIES, ACADEMIC, ACHIEVEMENTS, SPORTS & JOB EXPERIENCE & MOST SPECIALLY THOSE LIFE THREATENING INCIDENTS are the KEYS to my SEARCH for LIVING to the fullest and achieving the desired balance in the various aspects in life. Regarding my dreams & goals in life, I am reminded of Paulo Coehlo, in his book entitled the Alchemist, that every person has its own UNIQUE PURPOSE, and when you want something, all the universe (earth, wind, fire, water, heart) conspires in helping you to achieve something. You just need to follow your heart.
